Pharmaceutical lidding films and foil
The foil that seals the blister, specified against your forming film and your machine — in blister, tropical, strip and child-resistant constructions.
A lidding foil is a layer stack, and the stack follows the market. Standard blister foil runs overcoat, print, aluminium and heat seal lacquer, with 20 to 30 micron of aluminium and 4 to 8 GSM of lacquer. Tropical foil adds an oPA layer over adhesive above the print and steps the aluminium up to 60 micron, for humid markets where a standard blister will not hold its stability profile.
Strip foil replaces the forming film entirely — overcoat, primer, aluminium, adhesive and LDPE, sealed foil to foil, at 25 to 45 micron of aluminium. Child-resistant foil is available where the market or the molecule requires a push-through or peel-then-push opening that a child cannot defeat. Every construction is sealing-validated against your machine rather than a generic reference.
