Cap liner selection
Most closure failures are liner failures. This guide covers how to select against fill temperature, product chemistry and process.
Plastisol, PVC-free and BPA-NI liners behave differently under hot-fill, pasteurisation and retort, and against acidic and high-fat products. The cap is rarely the variable; the liner almost always is.
This guide is in preparation and will set out the selection logic by process and product type, with the failure modes each liner class is prone to.
By process
Hot-fill, pasteurisation and retort compared.
By product
Acidic, high-fat and neutral fills and what each demands.
Failure modes
What each liner class fails on, and how it shows up.
